With the enviable position at the top of the property, The Colonel’s Vineyard is a small, 1 ¼ acre block planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. This pristine block has a gently sloping south-west exposure for even ripening of the fruit.

Once again, the 2016 Colonel’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was vinified utilizing the barrel fermentation process that winemaker David Jeffrey learned from Alain Raynaud while working at Chateau Quinault in St. Emilion.

“The flagship is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Colonel’s Vineyard, and it was barrel fermented and spent 20 months in 60% new French oak. Deeply colored, with a mineral-laced bouquet of black and blue fruits, graphite, lead pencil, and smoke tobacco, it’s medium to full-bodied, incredibly concentrated, structured, and tannic on the palate... it’s a seriously promising, rich, structured Cabernet that’s going to be incredibly long-lived.”
